Blue Heaven: Encounters with the Blue Poppy tells the story of the enchanting Himalayan Blue Poppy. It begins in 1924 in Tibet, where the renowned plant explorer Frank Kingdon-Ward came upon "a stream of blue poppies, dazzling as sapphires in the pale light." Bill Terry is a retired CBC executive. His broadcast career spanned 35 years and encompassed 13 jobs in radio and television production and management in four Canadian cities. Since 1994, he has lived on the BC Sunshine Coast, with his wife, Rosemary, pursuing a life-long ambition to create the perfect garden.
